I am moving from Richmond BC to Niagara Falls, ON. Should I bring furniture,car,bike,or leave them?

Not sure how expensive it will be but I will need a car in Ontario for sure. I also have a motorcycle and bicycle plus lots of furniture. I think it would be easier to sell, move and buy again in Ontario but I like some of my stuff. What is more cost effective? I guess it’s reasonable to assume that I will need to bring all my clothes, shoes, recreation stuff, etc.

The more cost effective way would be to sell as much as possible.
I’ve looked into how much it would cost to move to BC from Niagara with a car & trailer and it will end up costing quite a bit, and even with a trailer I wouldn’t be taking 1/4 of what I have.

If your not attached to much, try taking a plane or train out here. You can get a Westjet flight from Vancouver to Hamilton for around $370-500. Depending on your vehicle, you could spend that much in gas before you hit Manitoba…Also, the stretch from the Manitoba border to Niagara is long and remote.

For many years, Kijiji has been extremely popular with people in the region. You can find some pretty good deals on furniture and bicycles…
If you keep your eye open, many people throw bicycles out in the garbage (and furniture). All you’d have to do is maybe replace a brake pad or tube. Just be quick as they never last long :p
